COACHING

At Island Wide Equestrian we offer a regular and enjoyable riding program for riders and horses of all ages, levels, and disciplines (dressage, hunter/jumper, eventing, pleasure). Our students range from young beginners, adult amateurs, and competitive show riders.

We focus on implementing a solid classical foundation where the horse is encouraged and trained to respond to the rider’s aids, carry the rider with a correct seat, and improve athletic ability so that the horse can easily perform his role in whichever direction or discipline you wish to succeed at. Lessons are offered in private, semi-private, and group format.

Harma’s students are successful in the hunter/jumper and equitation show ring as well as dressage and eventing. Harma’s program is proven successful many of her students winning provincial and national awards in all disciplines.

Lessons are offered at our facility in Winsloe and Harma also currently travels to a limited number of barns across the Island to provide her coaching services. Please contact us if you wish to become part of Harma’s program and for more information about availability and prices.

TRAINING

At Island Wide Equestrian we can help you get started with your horse or pony and design a program, based on the recognized training scale, to develop your horse up through the levels. All the training, whether it is under saddle or ground, is provided by Harma. In addition, we provide corrective training to help you and your horse get on the right path to success. If you are a horse owner looking to give your horse show experience/exposure, Harma’s extensive show and training experience will ensure that your horse is presented to the best of his abilities!

Due to space and time restrictions at Island Wide Equestrian we can only accepts a limited number of training horses on a monthly basis. If you are interested in receiving training for your horse, please contact Harma to discuss your needs and to reserve your spot.

BOARDING

At Island Wide Equestrian we offer full-care, stall board for horses of all disciplines. Our boarders have full use of the farm’s facilities and access to miles of neighboring trails and fields. The farm has been recently renovated and all the great changes and improvements were all designed with the comfort of our equestrian friends in mind.

Horses are stabled in brand new large and safe stalls with sliding doors, rubber mats, windows, and individual water supply. Stalls are bedded with wood shavings and cleaned daily and fresh shavings are added several times per week as needed. We offer an individualized feeding program with quality Purina feeds. Horses are fed 2-3 daily and we offer unlimited choice of hay or haylage.

The horses are turned out daily in safe paddocks with new wooden and electric fencing. We also large green pasture turn out with safe electric fencing. All boarded horses enjoy the company of other horses during turnout. At Island Wide Equestrian, we will regularly evaluate and adjust the turnout arrangements to ensure both safety and peace of mind for our horses and boarders.

We offer board & lesson packages and encourage our boarders to become involved in our comprehensive lesson and training program. Island Wide Equestrian has a vibrant community among its boarders & students and we encourage & invite everyone at the farm to become involved in this to enjoy your horse passion to the fullest! In addition to our regular program we host a variety of clinics and other events.
